Email is an environmentally friendly and time saving way of communicating when used effectively and is acknowledged as a very convenient for parents/carers who are working and who find it difficult to catch up with staff in regular working hours. However, Bromet also values face to face communications and telephone conversations and understands that these are preferable in some situations. 

• All emails should be addressed to admin@bromet.herts.sch.uk and they will be forwarded to the destination that is most appropriate. 
• Use only for non- vital communications as the recipient may not see it in time. 
• Teachers will make a professional judgement about how to respond to an email. There may be occasions where a meeting or telephone conversations is preferred to an email reply. 
• Since during the school day teachers will only check email when they are not teaching, a 48-hour response time can be expected. 
• The receipt time of emails arriving outside working hours is deemed to be the beginning of the following working day.
