Good Afternoon and welcome back after half term!
I hope everyone had a good rest and are now ready for the rest of term.
The home learning for this week is:
Spellings- Please learn the spellings and put these words into a sentence.
Maths– Fill in the table to sort the shapes by their properties. Use a ruler and a right angle tester (a circle folded into quarters) to complete Challenge 2 and compare the shapes.
English– In English we are going to be writing riddles. I would like the children to read/ listen to some writing that includes word play. This could be riddles, nonsense rhymes or jokes. I would like the children to have/ know 1 example of word play e.g. can tell or a joke, has a copy of a rhyme.
TALENT CONTEST- This year for Red Nose Day we are hosting a talent contest. We will be holding Kestrel’s auditions on Friday 10th March. 2 children will then be selected to enter into the final competition. The talent can be anything from dancing, singing, sport skills to telling a joke! If the children require props/ music they will need to bring them in on this day. We really look forward to seeing the entries!
- Water bottles need to be in school every day please.
- On Friday at 2:45pm come along and visit our Garden of Dreams. We have been busy designing different decorations and making our own flowers of our dreams.
- Next Monday (27th) is our class trip. Please make sure the children have appropriate clothing as we are outside all day. We are leaving at 9am and will be back approx. 3:30pm.
- Thursday 2nd March is our Dress Up for World Book Day. Come in your best and most creative costumes!
Have a great week!
