PTFA Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) 2016

Posted on February 9th, 2016 by brometadmin

We hereby give notice of an EGM of the Bromet PTFA, to be held on March 2nd 2016. The evening will commence at 6.30pm in the school hall.

The PTFA plays a vital part in the school community and all parents and friends, as members of the PTFA, are invited to support the EGM. This is your chance to hear and see how the funds you have helped to raise have been used for the benefit of the children/students at our school and how the school would like to work with the PTFA community to develop the school.

The EGM is being called to elect a new Chair, however, it is also an opportunity for you to discuss the structure of the PTFA , agree an updated constitution, and support the PTFA Committee, who will represent the association for the remainder of the academic year. Nominations should be sent in advance of the EGM, for existing committee members willing to stand for re-election and for anyone wishing to stand as an Officer or Ordinary Committee Member, for the first time.

If you would like any further information about what is involved in being a Committee Member, please speak to the Chair.

As our PTFA is a registered charity, all committee members automatically become Trustees of the Charity. Before submitting your nomination form, please read the Charity Commission publication ‘The Essential Trustee – What you need to know’. This is available from the website;

We look forward to seeing you on March 2nd.

Charity Tokens.

Posted on December 20th, 2015 by brometadmin

This term, we changed our reward system.  Instead of house points, children are rewarded for outstanding work or attitude with a token which they then donate to one of 3 charities.  The winning Charity this term is Guide Dogs UK and they will receive £50.  We are so proud of each and every child and just look at all the tokens that have been awarded.  They are a huge credit to us and to you.

Sports Afternoon

Posted on October 2nd, 2015 by brometadmin

All the children took part in a variety of activities in their house teams for Sports Afternoon.  It was a chance for all the children to mix and show their support for each other.  It was lovely to see so many parents and carers come along to support the teams.  The winning house was Yellow House who hold the House Cup for the second year running.
